Costa Rica Security

Costa
Rica is well known as a peaceful country and where we are
located there is very little crime. We currently employ over
125 people, some who are on-site every day of the week and
since we have been in Costa Rica there has never even been
a brick missing from our job sites. But we do recognize, as
home owners, the need for peace of mind and security.
Our staff and employees keep a watchful
eye out for any unauthorized activities in the area. If anyone
were to even step on our developments we would be notified
very quickly. Hand held radios are a part of our daily operations
and a great way to communicate efficiently with each other.
Despite the myth, some people are still concerned about squatters.
This problem existed years ago and is all but wiped out. Even by some miracle,
if a squatter did manage to settle on our properties for a long period of time,
all our communities are staked and gated and therefore, under Costa Rica's trespassing
laws, any potential squatters would be removed immediately by the local police
force. We have an excellent rapport with the local police and they are always
on the lookout for any suspicious activities.
But again, it's extremely rare that we
hear of any type of activities that require our existing security
measures but, as in the country you live in, it's recommended
to have an insurance policy on your home.
